We come from many places and have different backgrounds and are of different ages. What unites us is the love for Jesus Christ and where we live, Coventry. We are a growing non-denominational vibrant church with a vision to reach people of different cultures and backgrounds with the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the city; Coventry.

We worship God through Jesus Christ by serving people, expressing our love for God and to each other. Whether you identify as Asian, White, Caribbean, African or mixed raced and are a student, professional, single, married, divorced, parent, etc. you are welcome here.

Here are a few frequently asked questions and answers that will make your attendance enjoyable. Even before you enter our doors you have a great understanding of what to expect.

We'd love to see you this sunday!

Opening times

You can visit any of our services or activities during weekdays and weekends. However we recommend you visit our Sunday service prior to visiting any of our weekday services or activities. Our Sunday family service starts at 11am and finishes at 1pm. Occasionally, when we have special events, closing times may extend up to 30 minutes, but we will let you know in advance during the service if this will happen.

Our advertised services differ in terms of organisation, resources and numbers. But the message and heart reflect a singular church. Sunday services are well attended and the front door typically manned by ushers for the day. You will be directed to a seat which will make you feel comfortable. Any question you may have can be directed to our ushers.

What should I wear ?

Clothing is not as important to us than your visit. Most people who attend our services dress in a casual manner. But whatever you choose to wear, you are totally welcome. We expect that as most people will present themselves decently, as they will be interacting with other people from the general public.

Where is the Church ?

Our address is found below. We are in Bell Green area of Coventry. Armfield street is off Proffitt avenue and Bell Green road.

Bell green is only about 7 minutes drive from the city centre and within 15 minutes drive from any part of the city of Coventry.

Parking

Parking is not an issue when you visit us. There is plenty of free roadside parking along the front of the premises. You can park your car in a safe place. Please note we are located in a residential area so be mindful not to block access to any of the residents. There is additional 20 parking spaces within the compound which can be accessed half hour before church starts.

How to become a member

here is no set criteria for becoming a member. You don't have to attend Church for months, weeks or set number of days to become a member. Membership is by self-appointment. When you visit and you are comfortable to make United Life Chapel as your local Church you declare yourself as a member. However, that decision is know to yourself only. To communicate your decision to the leadership and the entire church you are invited to be part of the VIP (Vision Impartation Programme), which is the process that confirms your membership upon completion. Your invitation can be leadership-driven after you have attended regularly for sometime or you can self-nominate to be part of it.

The VIP Class is a one-day interactive session typically led by the lead pastor. The session introduces you to who we are as a church, why we are missionary based, why we seek different cultures in the city, and what we do in relation to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ and the way we seek to do it.

The session is always filled with goodies and refreshment and its a wonderful interactive session for participants.

What to expect

The main service typically begins with a prayer time and a time of music (praise and worship). Music in United Life Coventry is modern/contemporary and will be accompanied with drums, electric lead/bass guitars, acoustic and keyboards. This joyous time of glorious praise and worship music is followed by the clear and inspired sharing of God’s word and individual prayer and ministry to meet emotional, physical and spiritual needs no matter who you are and what you are going through.

Visitors welcome

During serivces the moderator for the day may ask for any new persons to be welcomed with a handshake, this will also be accompanies with a simple visitors form which will be handed to you. Please complete and leave the card is the offertory basket during giving times.

Free-will donations are encouraged and you are welcome to participate as led, donations are typically in the form of cash or electronic bank transfer.

Kids church for children

There is kids church at United Life Chapel, also sometime called the Sunday school for kids. Sunday school is split into 2 parts: The toddlers and the kids. Our wonderful volunteer teachers will receive your children when you arrive and oversee their lessons while you worship in the family service.

United Life Chapel adopts teaching materials and activities from Sunday School UK. The kids are divided to Sunday school UK criteria.
